UTEP’s biggest party of the year has a date.

One of the university's most celebrated traditions, Minerpalooza, will take place on Friday, August 31, on the University of Texas at El Paso campus. Now in its 28th year, Minerpalooza kicks off the new school year with local eats, beats, and family-friendly attractions.

Although the entertainment lineup has not been revealed, the annual welcome back to school bash typically includes local bands and appearances by the UTEP football team, Paydirt Pete, UTEP cheerleads, Golddiggers, and the UTEP band.

Activities for the kids, such as games, inflatable’s and face-painting are always part of the mix. Adding to the party-like atmosphere again this year will be a beer and wine garden, as well as food trucks and food booths.

And you don't have to be a UTEP student to attend. Minerpalooza 2018 is free and open to everyone. Picks up and Party Down!
