Fun, food, football, and lovelytheband will highlight Minerpalooza 2019.

The the alt-rock trio will be providing the musical entertainment next week at UTEP’s biggest party of the year along with several DJs and their laptops, including James Kennedy of the hit TV show "Vanderpump Rules."

Lovelytheband is most known for their debut hit single, “broken,” which was all over the radio and internet last year. The single topped the Billboard Alternative Songs chart and Billboard Rock Airplay chart for several weeks, and also became the band's first top 10 on the Billboard Radio Songs chart and first top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Minerpalooza is the university’s annual beginning of the school year celebration. The part pep rally-part festival includes live music, carnival activities, and appearances by Paydirt Pete, the UTEP football team, cheer squads, and the UTEP band.

Adding to the party-like atmosphere are food trucks and food booths. Activities for the kids, such as games, inflatable’s and face-painting are part of the mix too.

Minerpalooza 2019 will take place on Friday, August 30, on the University of Texas at El Paso campus. It's free to attend and open to the public. You can find more event details at Minerpalooza.com.
