Now in its 33rd year, Minerpalooza celebrates the new school year with local eats, beats, games, and attractions. And you don’t have to be a UTEP student to attend; Minerpalooza is open to all of El Paso.

The part pep rally-part festival typically includes live music, inflatables and carnival-type games, and appearances by Paydirt Pete, the cheer squads, and the UTEP band.

A beer and wine garden, food trucks and food booths, and activities for the kids, such as games and inflatables inside Pete’s Playground are part of the mix too.

Adding to the party-like atmosphere is live music, which this year will include Minerpalooza's 2022 Battle of the Bands winner Melancholy 10, El Paso indie rock band Late Night Drive Home, and DJ Gumby on the wheels of steel/laptop.

The 2023 Battle of the Bands winner will also be crowned that night.

Minerpalooza takes place in the parking lot of the Larry K. Durham Center at the corner of Glory Road and Sun Bowl Drive. Admission is free, but food, drinks and activities will cost you a few bucks.
