The pop-rock group We the Kings is one of 3 bands that will be getting the crowd turnt up at this year's Minerpalooza.

They, along with Latin alternative band Jenny and the Mexicats and El Paso's Prime 80'Z, will be providing the musical entertainment at UTEP’s biggest party of the year.

For the uninitiated, Minerpalooza is the university’s annual beginning of the school year celebration. The part pep rally-part festival includes live music, carnival activities, and appearances by Paydirt Pete, the UTEP football team, cheer squads, and the UTEP band.

Adding to the party-like atmosphere will be a beer and wine garden, as well as food trucks and food booths. Activities for the kids, such as games, inflatable’s and face-painting will be part of the mix too.

Minerpalooza 2017 will take place on Friday, September 1, on the University of Texas at El Paso campus. You can find more event details at Minerpalooza.com.
