El Paso singer and Grammy nominee Khalid has teamed up with numerous superstars in the music world like Normani, Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, and Logic to make hit songs, and now his namesake foundation is doing a collab of its own.

The Great Khalid Foundation has teamed up with Mike and Tricia Mornings to help families in need prepare for back to school in the community they call home and Khalid has embraced as his own.

The popular, long-standing KISS-FM morning duo is partnering with the non-profit for this year's Mike & Tricia Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive with a shared goal: to help children in our area head back to the classroom with the necessary resources to learn and succeed despite their family’s financial limitations.

“Stuff the Bus has been helping local families for 22 years and it is an honor to join forces with a team who has their heart set on making a difference in our city,” said Linda Wolfe, Executive Director of The Great Khalid Foundation. “We sought out a partnership with Mike and Tricia because of their continuous service to the city of El Paso.”

This year, along with the various charitable organizations Mike & Tricia have been donating school supplies to annually for over two decades, a portion of the funds and supplies collected will be in support of The Great Khalid Foundation's back to school objective of providing backpacks filled with school supplies for an entire sixth grade section from three El Paso schools; one middle school with the most in-need students in EPISD, SISD, and YISD.

“In all of our initiatives we strive to alleviate some financial burden for parents and provide an opportunity for the kids," added Wolfe. "By giving away these filled backpacks we are giving the 6thgraders all of the tools they need to focus on their studies and be successful in the classroom.”

Individuals and businesses can take part in the school supply drive by making a financial contribution via the Mike & Tricia Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive GoFundMe, or dropping school supplies off at our Official Drop Off Locations through July 26, 2019.

Donations can also be made and school supplies dropped off at KISS-FM, 4180 N. Mesa. Please visit MikeandTriciaStufftheBus.com for more details.
