KVIA anchor, Estela Casas, stopped by the Mike and Tricia Mornings studio on Monday, October 1, to help us kick off Pink Ribbon Week, Bras Across Our Building, and October Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

We all know what a difficult year Estela has had. She was diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer after getting a tetanus shot that became inflamed. When her doctor told her the news that she had cancer, she said she felt like that tetanus shot was a blessing because it led to an early diagnosis.

We were so lucky to spend some time with Estela this week as she celebrated being a year out of her diagnosis and finished with chemo. We got the chance to talk about her "chemo curls" as her hair grows out, and her plans for the future. Thanks, Estela, for dropping by and helping Mike and Tricia Mornings kick off Pink Ribbon Week!
