The Mexican Food Cook-Off heads our way on Saturday, October 10th at San Jacinto Plaza featuring, food, music and plenty of entertainment.

The Mexican Food Cook-Off will feature live Mariachis, including, Folklorico Dancers and the Battle of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Mariachis plus new this year, the Chuco Art Competition where local artists create art pieces showcasing El Paso’s heritage. The festival will also have local chefs compete for their shot of having the best Mexican food in El Paso at the Village of Cottonwood Springs cooking tent.

We will be featuring over 20 Mexican food vendors this year as well as plenty of games at San Jacinto Plaza in downtown El Paso. The festival runs from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. and admission is $3 per person or you could get in for free when you stop by your local Metro PCS location and pick up a free pass to get in. Food and beverages can be purchased with TFCU tokens which will be available for purchase at the event. I would highly recommend taking plenty of cash.
