McAlister’s Deli to Open New Location in West El Paso

Westsiders who want to get their sandwich on will soon have another choice.

McAlister's Deli is adding a second El Paso location. Its newest restaurant is currently under construction along Mesa near Resler.

'Famous' for Its Sweet Tea

For those not familiar with with McAlister's, they're known for their “craveable sandwiches," salads, and giant baked potatoes and the variety of toppings you can stuff it with.

But it is "famous" for its sweet tea, which can be purchased by the glass or gallon.

When Will the New West Side Location Open?

The west side McAlister's is located in front of the Albertson's at 7040 N. Mesa in Colony Cove next to Cold Stone Creamery in the section of the building that was previously occupied by the Schlotzsky's/Cinnabon combo.

The McAlister's Deli sign is already in place, but the space is currently being renovated. They're targeting a spring opening, although an exact date hasn't been revealed.

More McAlister's On the Way

Online documents filed with the state show a third McAlister’s Deli is in the works at Eastlake Commons, the open-air shopping center across the street from Eastlake Marketplace. Site plans show its location will be in the same area Dutch Bros is.

McAlister's far east side location at The Reserve at Rich Beem on the corner of Rich Beem and North Zaragoza opened in June of 2022.
