Locals who loved the chain restaurant had to travel to Las Cruces to get their sweet tea and “giant spud” fix, but once the El Paso location opens it will save locals the trip. Well, at least those living in far east El Paso.

Mcallister’s Deli is an American chain that has over 350 locations in over 29 states.

The chain deli is famously known for their sweet tea which you can buy by the glass or the gallon and their “giant spuds” which is just a fancier way of saying giant baked potatoes.

A photo of the new El Paso location was shared on the MOB Facebook group by Kassy Chanel and many locals were excited to see that the chain restaurant was finally making its way to the borderland, but others questioned the location with one comment reading, “We need one on the westside,” and another reading “Cute, but bring me a Panera or a Potbelly.” Same girl. I could go for a Panera in the borderland, too!

The deli restaurant does not seem to be open yet but they are looking for people to work for the new restaurant! Signs outside of the restaurant read "Now Hiring" so if you're in need of a job and love deli style food then I think we just found you the perfect job!

No word yet on when the new deli chain restaurant will be opening, but according to the sign outside of the business..... they're coming soon. So, we'll keep an eye out for you!
