The El Paso Museum of History is having an open house for artists in February.

Artists will have a chance for opportunities with MCAD including selling handmade arts and crafts at the Downtown Art & Farmers Market, becoming a teaching artist, or launching a new project.

The 3rd annual MCAD Open House will include staff from all three museums in El Paso including cultural programs such as the Downtown Artist and Farmers Market, Public Art Program, Chalk The Block, and the Cultural Funding Program.

Artists from the El Paso region are encouraged to come out, get involved and register beginning at 5 p.m. Paid Parking will be available at the Double Tree Hotel, Mills Parking Garage, and Metered Street Parking.

Schedule:

  • 5:00 -5:30 p.m.: Registration in the Lobby
  • 5:45 -6:15 p.m.: MCAD Overview in the Seminar Room
  • 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.: Meet and Greet – 1st Floor Galleries and Lobby
  • 7:00 - 7:30 p.m.: Overflow MCAD Overview in the Seminar Room (as needed).
