Commonly referred to as spice or K2, a hallucinogenic drug has been gaining popularity among vapor inhalers and is difficult to identify and illegal in New Mexico. It looks like marijuana but is much more dangerous as it is made with house hold chemicals. It is also much more addictive than marijuana.

The drug usually produces the following side effects in it’s users. Elevated mood, overly relaxed, altered perception followed by confusion, hallucinations and paranoia. LCPD encourages parents and caregivers to talk with their children and discuss the dangers of spice. Anyone with information on illegal drug use, or the sale or possession of spice, is asked to call police at 575-526-0795.
