Registration for the Las Cruces Police Department’s second annual Youth Leadership Summer Camp will begin April 18th and there is only room for 40 kids per session. If your kid wants to be involved, better get the information now.

The camp will be expanded this year and will now include three two-week sessionstaking place:

Session 1: May 31 through June 10.

Session 2: June 20 through July 1.

Session 3: July 18 through 29.

The camp will provide students with CPR and first aid training, teamwork building, DARE and DWI simulations, as well as anti-bullying and harassment lessons among other activities. Last year’s sessions were very successful and the children’s feedback was great.The camp is FREE and includes breakfast and lunch daily. Participants also will receive a free camp T-shirt, water bottle and drawstring bag.
