Joe Battle Intersections Among Most Dangerous in Texas

Most of us can agree that traffic in far east El Paso is jacked up.

Getting around in that part of town isn't only difficult and unpleasant, according to just released findings, it can be down right dangerous.

Especially along Joe Battle.

A Houston-based law firm sifted through four years of collision data from TxDOT and found several of the most dangerous intersections in Texas are in far east El Paso.

Of the 279 it identified as having a greater than average number of accidents, injuries and deaths statewide three were in El Paso -- all on Joe Battle.

#137: Joe Battle and Montwood intersection had a total of 118 car crashes between 2012 and 2015. Twenty three resulted in injuries, none in fatalities.

#241: Joe Battle and Montana intersection had a total of 49 accidents in the 4 year span. Twenty six resulted in injuries, none in fatalities.

#259: Joe Battle and Rojas intersection had a total of 48 crashes in the same length of time. Twenty two resulted in injuries, none in fatalities.
