Another El Paso Restaurant Is Getting Food Show Love
Move over Diners, Drive Ins and Dives; America's Best Restaurants is on to how tasty things are in El Paso and will soon be filming an episode of their own here.
America's Best Restaurants has been traveling the country and showcasing locally and independently owned restaurants all across the USA. With 2 crews traveling the country they have, to date, produced 842 episodes in 28 states.
At almost 1,000 episodes filmed, ABR has done just a little under 80 in Texas alone. Now, Track One, in central El Paso, is next on the ABR to do list.
The restaurant includes a 1920 Southern Pacific dining car, a caboose and a refrigerator boxcar with stained glass windows, a textured ceiling and a miniature train display.
“I like how (America’s Best Restaurants) targets unique establishments,” Lolly McDermott said. “It gives that small mom-and-pop shop its time to shine.”
In addition to their double-dip wings, Track One also offers nachos, freshly made pico de gallo, salads, sandwiches, burgers, quesadillas, steaks and kebabs. - ktsm
Absolutely one of my favorite places to eat in El Paso and for sure one of the most unique locations with wings that have racked up numerous Best of The City awards..
They aren't the only "foodie" show to hit El Paso - Beat Bobby Flay along with Taste The Nation have been here, among others, and the Food Network once sent Chef Aaron Sanchez, (an El Paso native), back to sweet home El Paso for a "chef's eye view" of the local food scene.
Most recently, Diners Drive In's and Dives filmed several episodes in the 915 including a visit with Chef Rulis at Rulis International Kitchen which has now rebranded as Sazon by Chef Rulis.
