Patriotic Pride on Display at 4th of July Parades In and Around El Paso

Attending a fireworks show isn’t the only way to celebrate our country's independence.

If you’re looking to commemorate the Fourth with a good old-fashioned parade of beauty queens, decorated cars, and people decked out in patriotic gear some local service organizations have you covered all across the Borderland.

Grab a lawn chair and pop a squat along the following streets. And don’t forget your American flag.

Rotary Club of West El Paso Independence Day Parade

The patriotic procession will roll out from the Western Hills Methodist Church parking lot at 530 Thunderbird, turning left at Shadow Mountain before turning right onto Mesa to its conclusion near Coronado High School. The parade begins at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, July 4.

46th Annual Lions Fourth of July Parade

The yearly July 4 Eastside community parade travels down Montwood and Yarbrough from its starting point of Hanks High School, then north to Album Avenue, where it ends at Eastwood (Album) Park. Sponsored by the El Paso del Norte Lions Club, "The People's Parade" begins at 9 a.m.

El Paso city limits aren’t the only place where you can take in the time-honored tradition of classic cars and local beauty queens.

City of Las Cruces

The annual Electric Light Parade lights up the streets Monday, July 3. The parade begins at Apodaca Park, 801 E. Madrid Ave., travels south on Solano Avenue, east on Hadley Avenue, and ends at the Maag Softball Complex. 9 p.m. start time.

Town of Anthony, Texas

Small town parade, big-time patriotism. 10 a.m. start time on Tuesday, July 4, from Acosta Dr. in neighboring Anthony, New Mexico to Anthony, Texas Municipal Park.
