A New Renaissance Faire Is Coming to the Texas Panhandle This Fall

It can be a relatively niche event, but it was one of the cooler events the Texas Panhandle had. However, Cottonwood Renaissance Faire kind of just went dark, and it left many wondering if there would be any kind of fair.

On their Facebook page, they announced back in October that they would announce the dates for 2026 in January. However, that never happened. That cast a pretty big cloud over whether or not there would be an event this year.

What Happened To Cottonwood

Someone on a Reddit thread mentioned the event was run by Josh Wilson under his Fandom, LLC company, and it hosted predominantly anime-themed conventions. Cottonwood was a bit of an outlier for him, but it was a popular outlier.

However, it appears that in February, Wilson sold off his Fandom, LLC and started a new LLC called Lion & Crown. Things apparently took a turn, and it appears Wilson was sued by a lender.

A New Renaissance Faire In The Panhandle

Well good new for you fair-goers. There is a new faire in town for you to attend this year, and it'll be taking place in Fritch, TX. Puck's Awakening Renaissance Faire will be happening on October 10th at 103 Palo Duro.

Boasting things such as a knight's area, mermaid fantasy, interactive stories with Lord Graygon, Highland dancers, contests such as Thor's Hammer strength contest, a best dressed contest, along with various vendors and food options, it seems like it could be a good time.
