Melissa Radke, wearing a sparkly blue Christmas sweater with the word 'Sparkle" on the front, sent out a video on December 7, 2023 with a "very, very, important Christmas message from your child's teacher".
She starts the message by relating that she is speaking up for teachers who can't say anything about this issue for fear of getting blasted on social media and being punished by school administrators.
According to Radke, she polled hundreds of teachers on her Instagram page to create the list. She goes on to tell us the things that teachers do not want from you or your kids for Christmas.

Radke goes on to give us a list of suggestions and things that your child's teachers DO want for Christmas.
- Gift cards from Starbucks, Sephora, Amazon, Ulta, Chick-fil-A, Papa John's, and movie theaters.
- Pedicure gift cards, with the suggestion to get eleven other moms to coordinate so she will have one every month of the year.
