It seems that Whataburger indeed is better than In-N-Out thanks to a poll conducted by USA Today.

The long-held debate has finally come to an end as Whataburger has been chosen above In-N-Out in USA Today's Readers’ Choice Awards Best Regional Fast Food poll.

Whataburger was born in Corpus Christi in 1950 and since then the fast-food burger joint has expanded to 10 states. It’s a legit Texas favorite – so much so that back in 2001, the Texas State Legislature officially recognized Whataburger as a Texas Treasure.

The top 10 winners in the category Best Regional Fast Food are:

  1. Habit Burger - California
  1. Pal's Sudden Service - Tennessee
  1. Sheetz - Pennsylvania
  1. In-N-Out Burger - California
  1. Quaker Steak & Lube - Pennsylvania
  1. Cook Out - North Carolina
  1. Krystal - Georgia
  1. Culver's - Wisconsin
  1. Biscuitville - North Carolina

To be honest we haven’t heard of some of these places but I’m sure they too serve up a great burger. But how can you go wrong with a made to order hamburger that uses 100% pure fresh beef that's never frozen and served on big, toasted five-inch buns with mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and diced fresh onions? Yum!
