Is the superintendent of El Paso’s largest school district looking to make a career move or is he just looking to move?

I ask because it was recently pointed out to me by a local realtor that the luxurious hillside home Juan Cabrera, superintendent of the El Paso Independent School District, and his family have resided in for the last couple of years has been on the market since 2017.

Since he just got a raise and signed a sweet new agreement extending his contract through 2022; I’m more inclined to believe he and his wife are just looking to move, not move away.

According to the listing on realtor.com, the 4,702 square foot, 4 bedroom, 6 bath home, described as "Mediterranean Traditional with [a] panoramic view lot, shimmering pool and spa, and all the gorgeous ambiance of mountain top living" was going for $699,000 as late as this past December.
