Iconic El Paso Store To Close Its Doors
Tres Mariposas, the iconic west El Paso women’s clothing store, will be closing its doors for good soon. Owner Nan Napier announced the end of Tres, as it is affectionately known, on the store’s Facebook page. Tres Mariposas opened in 1970 and has had a loyal customer base for decades.
Napier took over Tres from her father-in-law in 1979 and said that now, forty years later is the time to seek other opportunities. She said she will miss her employees and customers who were always at the center of the Tres Mariposas experience.
Napier’s children live overseas and she has two grandchildren with another on the way. She said her hobby has always been work, but now she will have time to travel to see them, and have time to spend with her husband Sam.
You can shop the Tres Mariposas Going Out of Business Sale 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, at 5857 N Mesa Street.
