Glory Road Barbershop in West El Paso is throwing the ultimate Community Cookout on Sunday, September 22nd, from 12 PM to 5 PM at 140 Montecillo. Not only is this event free and family-friendly, but it’s also benefiting Mija, Yes you can, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering women and girls in the community.

Give back to the community and get free tacos!

Guests will be able to enjoy mouthwatering discada tacos with a monetary donation made to ‘Mija, Yes you can.’ Yup, a simple donation gets you a plate full of deliciousness while making a difference in the lives of local women.

“At Glory Road Barbershop, giving back to the community is in our DNA,” said Alexis Aguirre, Owner of Glory Road Barbershop. “We’re excited to support Mija, Yes You Can and celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with our neighbors.”

Mija, Yes You Can will also have their Mija pop-up available so people can stop by and purchase Mija t-shirts. All funds from merchandise sales goes right back to The Mija project.

Get a workout and support local:

Guests will be able to kick off the day with a free HIIT class led by the city’s own Top View HIIT at 12 PM (because we all need to earn those tacos, right?).

After that, stick around for an afternoon filled with local vendors, live music, prizes, and plenty of good vibes.

Glory Road Barbershop is a locally woman owned business that hosts multiple events throughout the year to give back to the community that continues to show love and support to their business.

So, gather the family, bring your appetite, and join us for a day that celebrates culture, fitness, and community.
