‘Mija, Yes You Can’ Opens 2025 Scholarship Applications

El Paso Mijas, if you’re about to jump into or continue your college education but need some financial assistance, then the 2025 Mija Scholarship program is calling your name!

“We're all about empowering local women and girls to achieve their academic goals by offering scholarships that cover the essentials – tuition, fees, supplies, and more,” said organization officials.

Who Qualifies For These Scholarships?

‘Mija, Yes You Can’ will be awarding scholarships to eligible women and girls in the greater El Paso area who are ready to take on their academic journey in summer or fall 2025. 

Whether you're a Class of 2025 grad heading off to college, a collegiate Mija continuing your studies, or a Mija Scholar diving into graduate school, you are encouraged to apply for this great opportunity!

What makes a Mija stand out? 

The MIja scholarship committee will be looking for women who are passionate about their career paths, especially in fields where women are underrepresented (hello, STEM, law enforcement, med school!).

Community involvement is also a big deal – if you’ve been giving back, they definitely want to hear about it! And, of course, academic excellence is key – so make sure your GPA shines.

Important dates to remember: 

Applications open on June 2, 2025, and the deadline is June 27, 2025.
