Help San Elizario Church Shine Pink for Those Affected by Breast Cancer
As National Breast Cancer Awareness month quickly approaches, the festivities to help, honor and remember those affect by this disease are already happening.
This Saturday, the Presidio Chapel of San Elizario will be shining with pink luninarias in honor or in memory of the women and men affected by breast cancer. Attendees are asked to donate only $5, and they will receive a pink luninaria.
On that luninaria, people are encourage to write the name of the person affected or even a message of hope for all those that have or a living with the disease.
This event is actually leading up to a bike run for breast cancer awareness called Ride For Boobs. Our sister station DJ, Mr. Glenn Garza, will actually be hosting the bike run on October 7th. If you don't have a bike, you can always start donating early with lighting up San Eli Church, while enjoying live music and BBQ.
