El Paso, Texas stands at 30 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total to 887 confirmed cases.

Sadly, 4 new COVID-19 related death cases have been reported in the El Paso area by Dr. Hector Ocaranza, City/County Health Authority in a City of El Paso press release. The total COVID-19 related deaths are now at 18.

El Pasoans are urged to still follow safety precautions as the city begins to reopen, along with the rest of the state of Texas. Have some common sense when going out and about El Paso.  In response to Texas Governor Greg Abbott, our City and County officials are working on proposing amendments to the Local Emergency Directive, which will go into place on May 1st, 2020.
