I do love a farmers market. You find fresh veggies, cool little vendors who sell all kinds of homemade, handmade goods, and a laid-back vibe that you can't get anywhere but a farmers market. Most farmers markets are early in the morning, but the Fountains at Farah takes place on Friday afternoon and evening so you can head over after work, check out the vendors, enjoy a glass of wine and dinner, and then sleep in on Saturday morning. Sounds like my kind of farmers market.

There are a number of farmers markets all over town, and now there is one in the central part of town. Unfortunately, if you're like me, you like to sleep in on Saturday mornings so you miss typical farmers markets, so the one at the Fountains is tailor-made for those of us who hate a Saturday alarm clock. You can also start your Christmas shopping early and buy from local vendors.

The Farmers Market at the Fountains opens at 5:00 p.m. and closes at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, November 15.
