First Child Tests Positive for Coronavirus in El Paso County

As 93.1 KISS-FM previously reported, city and health authorities confirmed 10 additional positive cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, bringing the total number to 78 in El Paso County.

Among the latest that has been infected is the youngest coronavirus case to date; a patient listed as aged “12 & under.” Information such as the child’s current condition or whether it was a result of community spread or not was not divulged.

Prior to the April 2 updated count, the youngest patients positive for the coronavirus were two teens.

With community spread confirmed, it’s important now more than ever that parents adhere to the city’s amended emergency directive and if they must run essential errands they should to do so by themselves and avoid taking children with them.
