A fiery crash may mean the closure of parts of I-10 for days.

I-10 West at Missouri was the scene of a horrible crash when a semi-truck careened off the interstate and up the highway's embankment. Witnesses say it looked like the truck driver lost control his vehicle, flew off the road and caught fire. As you can see in the video above from the Facebook page of Larissa Aguirre Marin, the driver was able to escape the flames. The driver was taken to the hospital and is reportedly going to be ok.

The bed of a tractor-trailer came to rest and ended up partially hanging off an overpass between the Mesa and Stanton street overpasses.

As of this posting, all lanes of I-10 East and West remain closed from US-54 to Executive Center. It's not known when this will change. We will keep you up on the latest details in this incident, as well as when I-10 opens back up on-air and online. The closure of I-10 could last through the weekend because officials are worried that the bridge that was damaged might collapse, and because it spans both sides of the freeway, it could be some time before it can be repaired.
