Exclusive Interview with LovelytheBand

Monika sits down with LovelytheBand at Neon Desert Music Festival.

It’s been about a year since LovelytheBand was last in El Paso when they opened up for Vance Joy at the Plaza Theatre. They even thanked me for gifting them salsa the last time they were in town. Since then, their huge hit single, Broken from their debut album, Finding It Hard To Smile has taken them all over the world on tour. I had a chance to see how the band had been doing since then and how the success of Broken has opened up new doors and adventures for the band. Mitchy and the rest of the guys from LovelytheBand also shared who they almost didn’t make it to El Paso since their flight was delayed. I also found out that frontman Mitchy has a tendency to book separate flights and somehow made it to El Paso before the rest of the band. They also talked about writing and recording new music so we can expect something new by next year, if not sooner. LovelytheBand was as usual funny, cute and so down to earth. LovelytheBand continues to tour this summer in the states before heading overseas to Ireland and the U.K. in November.
