Exclusive Interview with Chris Carrabba of Dashboard Confessional

Monika interviews Chris Carrabba, frontman of Dashboard Confessional.

Dashboard Confessional performed at Neon Desert Music Festival and I had a chance to sit down with singer Chris Carrabba and found out what’s the latest with the band.

Dashboard Confessional was on a bit of a hiatus recently but last year they released their album Crooked Shadows and since have been hitting the road and that included a stop in El Paso performing at this year’s Neon Desert Music Festival. I had a chance to ask him about the new album and what this new album signified for the band as a whole. Carrabba who was a soft-spoken sweetheart also talked to me about being sober in the last recent months, the last time he was in El Paso and hoe sometimes, maybe he’s a vegetarian. After our interview, Chris and the rest of the band took the stage and performed to a pumped-up crowd Dashboard Confessional fan favorites including a couple of covers by The Cure and Weezer. I must say that Chris Carrabba was absolutely a darling and we certainly hope the band heads back to El Paso sooner than later.
