El Paso Zoo Opens Carousel – What To Know Before You Go
I got the chance to take my beasties to the San Antonio Zoo earlier this year, and one of the nicest features was the carousel. There is nothing more old-fashioned than a carousel, but even kids who usually have their faces buried in a computer or tablet love carousels. Now, the El Paso Zoo has one.
The Hunt Family Endangered Species Carousel & Entrance To Asia opened earlier this week. The carousel features 30 hand-painted animals representing endangered species from around the world, including an Asian elephant, Mexican grey wolf, white rhino, and western lowland gorilla created for the El Paso Zoo.
Ticket prices are $2.00/ride for non-zoo members, $1.50/ride for zoo members. The last ride is at 4:30 p.m. You can check out more information about all the Zoo's events and features on their Facebook page.
