Plaza Classic Presents Outdoor Screening of Stop Making Sense – The concert film documents the Talking Heads' 1983 tour. The outdoor showing will be preceded by a concert from Dan Lambert and the Double Drum Trio. Concert starts at 7:30 p.m., movie at 9 p.m. at the intersection of Mills and Oregon Street. FREE

Farmers Market at Ardovino’s Desert Crossing – The “producers only” market features area farmers, backyard gardeners and artisans selling organic and pesticide-free vegetables, locally-made goat cheeses, natural free range chickens and eggs, native plants for home and yard, fresh-baked breads and salsas. 7:30 a.m. to 12 noon. Freedom Crossing Family Play Date – The fun begins at 10 a.m. with a showing of Madagascar at the Grand Theatre. The first 228 get in FREE. Activities will be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the promenade by the play area, including a Madagascar art project, balloon animals, and photo booth plus a special appearance from Batman, Superman and Spiderman. Parks and Rec Free Summer Music Series - Series highlights a variety of local acts while showcasing some of the city’s parks. Bring your lounge chairs, blankets, and picnic baskets.
