San Elizario ChristKindle Market - San Elizario’s annual holiday market features handcrafted and unique Christmas gifts, as well as traditional German food, beer, and hot, spiced wine. 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the historic Main Street plaza. FREE admission. More Details

Fred Loya House Light Shows - The nine minute laser and light show features over 450,000 multicolored lights set to music. Show times are 6, 7, and 8 p.m. at Mr. Loya’s house, 12001 Paseo de Oro. FREE. More Details

Friday at the Fire – Live music by local bands set against the ambiance of the Freedom Crossing at Ft. Bliss outdoor fireplace. 6 – 11 p.m. FREE. Tonight, Locomotion (rock).

Holidays on Ice – Whoosh around on ice skates in the area’s largest public ice skating rink. 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the Sierra Providence Event Center, 4100 E Paisano, behind the El Paso County Coliseum. Cost: $8, $6 Military. Admission includes skate rental. More Details

El Paso Wind Symphony Holiday Concert - El Paso Wind Symphony opens its “Season of Service” with a special holiday music concert and toy drive. 7:30 p.m. at UTEP’s Fox Fine Arts Recital Hall. Ticket prices vary. More Details

El Paso Playhouse Presents ‘The Best Christmas Pageant Ever’ – El Paso's longest running Community Theater presents the holiday favorite ‘The Best Christmas Pageant Ever’. The story revolves around the Herdmans, who bully their way into the main roles in a church play and come to realize the true meaning of the holiday, while also giving the gift of a new perspective on the Christmas story to regular church goers. 8 p.m. at the El Paso Playhouse, 2501 Montana. Downtown Artist and Farmers Market – The market offers the chance to shop for original arts and crafts and regionally grown produce in an outdoor setting while enjoying entertainment featuring local artists, food vendors and free activities for the entire family. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Union Plaza District (near The Garden Restaurant) along Anthony Street. Celebration of Lights Christmas Tree Lighting – The city Christmas tree and displays light up downtown beginning today at Cleveland Square Plaza, between El Paso Museum of History and El Paso Library. The festivities begin at 4:30 with the actual lighting ceremony at 5:30 p.m. The lighted Christmas parade and fireworks display will follow . FREE. More Details

Christmas On Ice - The sun City Blades figure skating club’s annual Christmas show will feature a medley of different Christmas songs and stories performed on ice. 5 p.m. at the Events Center, 4100 E. Paisano, next to the County Coliseum. $6, children under 3 free. 820-2955

1st Armored Division Band Holiday Concert – “An American Holiday Festival” will feature a variety of music, from concert-band holiday classics to festive big band jazz selections as performed by the 1st Armored Division Band. 7:30 p.m. at Stayton Theater, 2495 Ricker Road, Fort Bliss. Lita Ford - The rock guitarist and vocalist best known as the former lead guitarist for The Runaways, and her solo ‘80s hits “Kiss Me Deadly” and “Close My Eyes Forever” performs along with guests Stephen Pearcy and L.A.
