It’s a good thing I took the winter storm warning seriously and I stocked up on bread, milk, Pop Tarts, and toilet paper because Valentine's Day Snowpocalypse 2021 packed quite the punch, after all.

Snow began falling early Sunday morning after the predicted strong arctic cold front rolled in overnight resulting in a bitterly cold lover's holiday and several inches of snow on the ground by the end of the day.

And since we don’t usually measure El Paso snow falls in inches -- typically, it’s more like “a blanketing,” or “a dusting” – El Pasoans braved temperatures in the upper teens to frolic in the powdery white stuff, take photos, and build a snowman.
