Black Friday is starting on Thanksgiving evening for most of El Paso’s popular shopping destinations this year.

Cielo Vista Mall, Sunland Park Mall, and The Fountains at Farah will open at 6 p.m. Thursday evening and close after midnight, then reopen hours later on Black Friday.

One caveat to the Fountains pertaining to Thanksgiving; not all of its 40+ stores and 20+ restaurants will be open, and the hours of those that will be open vary. It's suggested you call ahead and check with the individual store before you head out.

Bassett Place is also giving its tenants the option of opening Thanksgiving Day or waiting until Friday. The only constants are Kohls and Target which open at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day and will remain open around the clock until midnight on Black Friday.

The rest of the mall stores can open at the same time on Thanksgiving Day if they wish, or wait until Black Friday. Individual stores can open at 8 a.m. or earlier if they choose. It's probably best you contact the store before driving out as times may vary.

The Outlet Shoppes at El Paso in Canutillo, on the other hand, is going non-stop. Stores there will open at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving and remain open all night and all day through 10 p.m. Black Friday.
