On April 16th, 2020 The City of El Paso has released the latest numbers for COVID-19 cases in the city. As of tonight, El Paso stands at 58 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total to 451 confirmed cases.

With the new cases, comes one more death of a male patient in his 60s with underlying health issues.

El Pasoans are still under the 'Stay Home, Work Safe' order which has been amended to issue citations if people disobey it, in hopes of keeping more people at home. The 'Stay Home, Work Safe' order has now has been extended till May 17th. Many parks and public areas have been closed in an attempt to keep people from possibly spreading COVID-19.

It is scary how fast the virus can be spread, especially when people are not practicing social distancing. Please take the proper precautions to keep you, your family, friends, and coworkers safe. Ultimately, keep your fellow El Pasoan healthy. Stay strong, stay healthy.
