If you are fan of the legendary rock band Queen, you should plan on being at the Plaza Theatre this weekend.

On Saturday, August 25, the El Paso Symphony Orchestra will be jamming out to The Music of Queen and they will, they will rock you.

This ain't your granddaddy's night at the symphony. EPSO will be accompanied by stage lighting, a full rock band and vocalist Brody Dolyniuk, one of the world’s leading Freddie Mercury tribute singers. He doesn’t look like Freddie Mercury, but he sure sounds like him.

From what I've been able to find on the net, the night’s setlist will include familiar classics like “We Are the Champions” and “Under Pressure,” and essential album cuts like “Stone Cold Crazy”.

It sounds like a fun show. Take it from someone who grew up listening to Queen’s music, with a full orchestra is how much of their music was meant to be heard.

And, hey, it’s not every day you get to see El Paso symphony folks headbanging to "Bohemian Rhapsody" a la Wayne's World, and clapping their hands and stomping their feet to "We Will Rock You".
