More than 1,000 books will be given away for free this week during the Love For Books initiative.

This week, parents are encouraged to drive through to pick up books for their kids during the Love For Books / Por Amor A Los Libros initiative.

The El Paso Public Library has teamed up with the El Paso chapter of REFORMA (National Association to Promote Library and Information Services to Latinos and the Spanish-Speaking). They have donated over 1000 new books celebrating the Love of Books / Por Amor A Los Libros initiative. The books will be passed out free to children and young adults in our community at various library locations around El Paso.

Book distribution was initially set for Monday, February 15; however, due to the extreme cold front that swept through the city, it was postponed, with services resuming on Tuesday, February 16, 2021.

The free books will be distributed during regular curbside hours while supplies last.
