The brilliant minds at the City of El Paso came up with an amazing Christmas celebration last year when they blew everyone's minds with Winterfest. I don't think they really had any idea how well it was going to be received, so this year, they are beginning the festivities earlier and they're also bringing in other events like The Holiday Market from the folks who bring you the Downtown Art and Farmers Market.

To be a part of Winterfest, the Downtown Farmers Market will not be open this Saturday, November 17, but will instead be open Sunday, November 18th, from 2 p.m. - 9 p.m. at the Pedestrian Pathway (between Chihuahuas Stadium and Convention Center).

You'll be able to shop for everyone on your list from over 60 vendors. There will be food trucks so you can have a warm meal before the lighting of the tree celebration and parade. You can even bring your lawn chairs to enjoy the evening's entertainment. The whole family can take advantage of the free activity booths to create a masterpiece, and there will even be the Sun City Express Train presented by the El Paso Locomotives soccer team that everyone can ride!

Go to the Holiday Market, do some shopping and then hang out to watch the Celebration of Lights Parade, and the opening of El Paso Live's WinterFest, and everything is within walking distance.
