El Paso Couple Flies Family Out Of Puerto Rico After Seeing Them On The News
Hurricane Maria devastated Puerto Rico, and weeks after the storm, people are still dealing with having no electricity, very little supplies, and apparently no end in sight of the hardships they're suffering.
One family, however, has an angel in El Paso. Angel Gomez saw an ABC news story on Lisbeth Vasquez Delgado and her parents, Elmer and Gloria, who needed medication and were stranded in their apartment without electricity. Two months after Maria hit Gomez and his wife, Patsy, paid for the Vasquez family to fly to New York so Elmer and Gloria can get the medical attention they need.
Angel Gomez is a friend of Mike and Tricia Mornings. He has been on the show a number of times with fundraising efforts. Angel and his wife really are angels. They are the most unselfish people I've ever met, and God bless them for helping out the Vasquez family.
It would be nice if private citizens weren't being forced to step up to take care of the things that need to be taken care of by our government. But that's a discussion for another time.
God Bless you, Angel and Patsy!
