A central El Paso strip club that has been open for decades is going to have its doors temporarily closed by the El Paso County Attorney’s Office.

The County Attorney's office has gotten a Temporary Restraining Order against the Cabaret at\4834 Montana Avenue. It will be shut down until a Temporary Injunction hearing happens. That hearing is scheduled for March 5.

The County Attorney's office says the action against came about because of an investigation by the Texas Alcoholic and Beverage Commission, the El Paso Police Department’s Vice Unit, law enforcement partners at the Texas Anti-Gang Center, and the El Paso County Attorney’s Office.

Officials say they have gotten a lot of reports of shady things happening at The Cabaret like possession and delivery of narcotics, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, prostitution,
and the sale and storage of alcohol without a license.

Law enforcement officials closed down the business this afternoon around 4 p.m. The County Attorney's Office says that residents in the central El Paso neighborhood where The Cabaret is located have been "complaining about illegal activity at the establishment and asking authorities to do something about this adult club located in the middle of a densely populated area.

I guess there are going to be a lot of disappointed "gentlemen" out there. They'll have to find another club to go to.
