Monika Cheers El Paso Children’s Hospital On Its 10th Birthday

Monika is celebrating El Paso Children's Hospital on its 10th anniversary this year.

Happy birthday to El Paso Children's Hospital, which has been committed to servicing our city's youth for the last decade.

Since 2012, the hospital has serviced over 150,000 patients and remains the only dedicated children's hospital serving a 350-mile radius in our region.

While there may be over 5,700 hospitals in the United States, only about 250 specialize in pediatrics, making El Paso Children's Hospital the only hospital solely dedicated to pediatric care in the Sun City.

Kids are different from adults and require a different level of care. That is why the 122-bed academic teaching hospital features a state-of-the-art environment entirely designed for kids. Apart from its top-level pediatric care, amenities include kitchenettes with washers and dryers for families, private and meditation rooms, a one-of-a-kind Enchanted Forest Playground, pet therapy, and so much more.

The 225,000-square-foot facility has continued to expand over the years and, just over the last year, has recruited several more physicians, including a pediatric neurosurgeon, a pediatric pulmonologist, a pediatric surgeon, and pediatric hospitalists.

It's also noteworthy that El Paso Children's Hospital is the only Children's Miracle Network affiliated hospital in town, helping make dreams come true for its patients. It's also the only regional hospital that offers pediatric emergency rooms, pediatric intensivists in their critical care unit, and a neonatal intensive care unit 24/7 year-round.
