El Pasoans are invited to help save lives and support our community by donating blood at Sunland Park Mall this weekend.

After a great turnout at yesterday’s blood drive, Vitalant and Sunland Park Mall decided to extend the Blood Drive event today, Saturday, January 23, 2021.

Blood donations are always in need, especially right now during the ongoing pandemic when the blood supply is critically low. Blood centers across the nation, including Vitalant here in El Paso, TX, and Las Cruces, NM, are taking preventative measures amidst the novel coronavirus and are urging healthy individuals to donate blood so that hospitals have enough blood supplies for trauma and cancer patients.

Donate blood this weekend at Sunland Park Mall, and while there, ask about how your plasma might help patients battling COVID-19.

If you had and got over COVID-19, your plasma may qualify if you have fully recovered from COVID-19 and have been symptom-free for at least 28 days.

If you had a positive COVID test or have a confirmed positive Vitalant COVID-19 supplemental antibody test, your plasma may be able to help COVID patients. To find out more, visit Vitalant.org.

Today, Saturday,  Sunland Park Mall and Vitalant are hosting the Blood Drive from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Vitalant provides blood and blood products for local area hospitals throughout the country - For more details on what it takes to donate blood and make an appointment, call 915-544-5422 or visit bloodhero.com.
