Instant Pots were a hot ticket item this past Christmas, but the company that makes them says that there is one particular model that they are getting bad reports on, and they want you to stop using it.

Instant Pot says the Gem 65 8-in-1 Multicookers are reportedly overheating and melting. If your Instant Pot has the batchcode 1728, 1730, 1731, 1734 and 1746 on the silver label on the bottom of the cooker, the company says you need to immediately stop using it. The problem is the company has not given out replacement information, but they said they will be releasing more information about what to do with your Instant Pot in the next few weeks. They said they are working with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission about the problem.

The company put this information on their Facebook page and some people said they were frustrated with not knowing how the company was going to make all this right. The company has since turned off the ability to comment on their Facebook post on this situation.
