Do Men or Women Fall in Love More?
When you think of love, the thought is that women are always the ones to fall harder and faster. But is it really true?
Ever since we were younger, girls are thought to fall in love more often than boys. There's movies that show it to you, books, magazines and everything on how to fall in love and make men fall in love with you. But a surprising new survey showed that actually men fall in love more than women. In a study done by Häagen-Dazs and British life coaches, they surveyed 2,000 adults and found that over half the men surveyed said they've been in love more than once. Only 45% of women said they have been in love more than one time.
If you're having trouble trusting a company whose product you down by the pint every time you have your heart broken, then check out this other survey by the dating website, Match.com. In a 2011 survey, 54% of men said they had fallen in love at first sight, while only 44% women said the same. So that means either men are more susceptible to believe in love at first sight, or women are less likely to believe in such a thing.
Another survey done showed that men only took three months to fall in love, while women fell in love in five months. What all these surveys show the public is that maybe women aren't the ones that fall in love the fastest, and maybe the men don't have trouble committing. They simply commit to the one that they truly love, once they finally see her. I guess I'll stick to the one that I fell in love with at first sight- ice cream. Ice cream has never left me, or let me down.
