El Paso’s parade season gets underway this weekend. The first processions of colorful floats and festive walking groups will take over downtown for the Dia de los Muertos celebration, followed by the frightfully fun Halloween Parade on Monday
Dia de los Muertos Parade

The parade will feature a cavalcade of catrinas, catrins, calaveras, community floats, and larger-than-life marionettes and Mojigangas.
• Parade Route
This year, the celebrations will be centered around San Jacinto Plaza so the parade route will be different. It will get underway at 4 p.m. traveling north on Santa Fe St., turning right on E. Franklin Avenue, right on N. Mesa in front of San Jacinto Plaza, and then right on W. Mills.

A Halloween day tradition for over 35 years, the KLAQ-sponsored family-friendly daytime outing is an annual must-attend for many.
• Parade Route
The parade start time is 3:30 p.m. starting at Album Park. From there it will head west to Cork, left on Cork to Daphnie, west on Daphnie to Fir. It will then turn left and head south on Bermuda, east to Zanzibar, and north to Album Street before heading back to Album Park.
