Love you the Chick-Fil-A? Got a new book you’re willing to donate?

The 2022 Dia de los Ninos/Dia de los Libros will take place April 30, and unlike the last two years when the pandemic forced it to go virtual, the 26th Annual free books event will be in-person.

As has been the case since its inception, thousands of brand-new books will be given away to children who attend the celebration.

New Book Donations Needed

The El Paso Public Library is looking for some help with reading material to giveaway on that day, and maybe you can help them and they you.

Support Dia de los Niños/Dia de los Libros with a book donation, and lunch is on them. Donate a new children's book and get a Chick-Fil-A Original Chicken Sandwich in return.

The children's day book day dates back to 1997, and is a partnership spearheaded by the El Paso Public Library and El Paso Parks and Recreation. It is the largest and most successful literacy celebration of its type in the Southwest.

The day includes live entertainment, jumping balloons, activity booths, and vendors. And as has been the case since its inception, thousands of brand-new books are given away to children who attend, including this year, copies of the book "Muchas Gracias Maria" written by El Paso author Luke Lowenfield and illustrated by local legend Hal Marcus.

Here’s How You Get a Free Chicken Sandwich

Chick-fil-A Mesa Street & Remcon Circle

The El Paso Public Library and a couple of Chick-Fil-A locations on the west side are teaming up for a book drive from Monday, April 4, through Saturday, April 9.

• Book must be new, unused, and/or unwrapped

• Take the children’s book or books to the Chick-Fil-A at Mesa Street @ Remcon Circle, or Desert Boulevard in the West Towne Marketplace during regular business hours Monday, April 4, through Saturday, April 9, to claim free sandwich

• Only the Mesa Street @ Remcon Circle and Desert Boulevard locations are participating
