Santana Tribute Band Soul Sacrifice This Thursday at Cool Canyon Nights
Fans of the rock group Santana will want to attend Cool Canyon Nights this Thursday, July 15.
El Paso's own Santana tribute band Soul Sacrifice will be filling the canyon with the sounds of the Latin-infused rock the iconic Bay area band is known and loved for.
The band will actually perform two sets Thursday night. During the one-hour Carlos Santana tribute portion of the show, they’ll capture "the sound, the emotion, [and] the feel of Santana" as Soul Sacrifice.
The second set will be a “45 minute Soul El Paso variety set.” For that performance, the band will play soul and rock classic as the Soul El Paso Band.
Attendance to Cool Canyon Nights is free and seating is on a first-come basis, but if you want guaranteed seating you can upgrade to V.I.P. seating.
For $15 a person (plus taxes and fees), you get access to the VIP area for tapas and tacos beginning at 6 p.m., plus front-of-the-line access and a guaranteed seat inside of the amphitheater. To lock down seating for this or one of the upcoming shows simply click HERE.
Gates open at 5:30 p.m. The fun starts at 6 p.m. with live music by The Retroz on the El Paso Community College Patio Stage, and craft beer, cocktails and food trucks in the cool shade of McKelligon Canyon Amphitheatre. Soul Sacrifice gets underway at approximately 7:15.
Cool Canyon Nights, 93.1 KISS-FM’s family-friendly summer concert series, will take place every Thursday in the canyon through September 2, weather permitting. All weekly performances feature popular local bands, and are free to see.
