Summer is a great time for kids - there's endless hours of PlayStation playing time, sleeping until noon, and not doing the yard work!  If you want your kids to get off the couch and do something fun, the City of El Paso has a summer basketball league for teens, and they're signing up players for teams.

The summer league sign-up is going on now through June 10th.  The league begins play on June 21st and the season lasts until August 24th.  Can't you just see you teen sweating their butts off at practice so they can show off their b-ball skeeels at the games?!

The entry Fee is $380 and includes all official fees.  The teams are open to 9th, 10th, and 11th grade boys and girls.  A meeting will be held Monday, June 10th at 7:00 p.m. at the Acosta Sports Center at 4321 Delta Drive.

You can call 534-0254 for more information, or log onto the City's Parks and Recreation website.

If your kid joins the teams, send me pictures of their practices and games, and I'll post them here!
