The coronavirus has made a lot of changes in our lives in just a few short weeks. Kids have suddenly become home-schooled, working from home has become the norm not the exception, and going out to enjoy the great outdoors has come to mean being in our backyards and not hanging out in parks or hiking in the mountains.

Another thing that has gone by the wayside is going to places like Red Sands to four wheel. The desert area in far east El Paso is a really popular spot with four-wheelers but ever since the stay-at-home order was put into place, Red Sands has been off limits to vehicles and people. In this drone video, you can see the impact that people make on Red Sands with just the number of vehicles that crowded into the area before the coronavirus outbreak and after the stay-at-home order was put into place.

It's pretty shocking to see just how hard we use our resources. It's also pretty shocking to think that when the stay-at-home order is lifted Red Sands might go back to being just another place to four wheel instead of a beautiful, untouched natural desert.

I hope we can leave it alone.
