It's National Parks and Recreation Month, and El Paso's Parks and Recreation Department is hosting three free, family-friendly events this Saturday:

Get Your Game On
10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, July 27 – Pavo Real Park
This interactive event lets parents and their beasties enjoy a variety of games including giant Jenga and checkers, giant volleyball, Twister, Kerplunk, tug-of-war and an obstacle course. There will also be information booths from various organizations including the El Paso Public Library and the Hueco Tanks State Park. If your kids are one of the first 50 children who visit all of the booths and activities in the park and fill-out an activity booklet, they'll get a free swimming pass to the Pavo Real Outdoor pool that opens at noon.

Trailblazers Archery Tournament
10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, July 27 – Memorial Park (Outdoor Resource Center)
If your kids have ever wanted to test their skills in archery, get them signed up for the Trailblazers Archery tournament. There will be different age groups in the tournament; 6 - 9, 10 - 13, and 14 and over. Don't worry about bringing a bow and arrow. Equipment will be provided, and your budding archer could win a prize.

Zumba Nights
6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, July 27 – San Jacinto Plaza
The whole family can do this healthy activity. There will be fitness demonstrations including Zumba, Aerobics, and Step Aerobics. There will be Zumba classes throughout the night, and the first 50 participants will get a free t-shirt and complimentary water bottle.
